Do I need the drain cleared before a survey?
A camera cannot see through a full blockage - we clear first if needed and survey once flow is restored.
Is a survey worth it before buying a house?
For older properties or any with trees near the runs, strongly yes - repairs found after completion are yours to fund.
What if no work is needed?
Then the report says so. Plenty of surveys end with “it’s fine, leave it alone”.
