The service
What an EICR actually is.
An EICR is a structured inspection and test of the fixed electrical installation - the wiring, board and accessories - producing a report that grades any defects found. Rental properties in England are required to have a satisfactory report, renewed at least every five years.
We test, explain the findings in plain English, and quote any remedial work separately and fixed.

FAQs
Questions we hear a lot.
How often does a rental need an EICR?
At least every five years in England, or as the previous report specifies. New tenancies need a valid report in place.
What happens if the report is unsatisfactory?
C1 and C2 items need remedying; we quote that work fixed and re-certify once done.
How long does testing take?
A few hours for a typical flat or house, with some circuits briefly off - we work around tenants where needed.
